Just married: The love story of Mr and Mrs Anonymous

I've known Mrs Anonymous since 1999 so i can justifiably refer to her as my childhood friend. She was arguably the hottest girl in my set in secondary school (i won't tell you the name of the school don't bother asking). She's tall, dark and very well rounded (the chic used to get all the valentine gifts those days ...and this is the story of how she got a big rock on her ring finger).

 

Her husband Mr anonymous is Tall, dark and really handsome. (Somehow everyone i interview has a hottie). She describes him as an understanding man who is extremely caring, very playful and fun to be with ,altogether a great person.They got married on the 4th and 6th of October 2012. (the couple have chosen to stay anonymous for the purpose of this story).

I was unable to interview him, so this story is her account of their relationship from inception till date.

HOW THEY MET

We met in Festac. I bumped into an old friend that I had not seen for ages and he was to drop me off at home but he said he wanted to see his friend that just came back from work.While i waited for him in the car the guy came out and said hello.That was the first time we met.

FIRST IMPRESSION/ WAS IT LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?

It was definitely not love at first sight because I didn't really pay attention to him then. He said hello and used a very cheeky line like you're the most pretty girl I've met and I was laughing. I was thinking who uses such a lame line in this day and age.. And then he asked for my number i didn't want to be rude so I gave it to him.This was late 2007.

THE 'TOASTING'?

He was constantly calling me and sending me text messages. At that time I was so bored and i had just graduated from school so his calls and messages kept me busy.Every day after he got back from work he would take me out for dinner, he did this for a whole month.He also used to send me recharge cards every week. Eventually he sent me a text saying he cares about me and wants me in his life, so i agreed to date him.

WHEN DID YOU REALISE YOU WERE IN LOVE?

After a while i became very protective of him. I just realised I didn't want anyone else around him,
that's when I knew I cared much more than I thought i did.

THE PROPOSAL

The proposal was something else, it was on February 25th 2012.He organised a pool party or rather a surprise engagement party.He got a new apartment and said he wanted to throw a party. I didn't like the idea of a house warming party, i thought it was a waste of money especially because he wasn't even hosting the house warming party in his house.

He kept telling me to invite my friends for his party so i did, but i thought it was weird that he was inviting friends from Kano, Jos, Enugu and Lagos to come for his house warming party. Even his brother came in from Lagos.

At the party i noticed that he kept on diving to the pool,coming out to drink and diving back in.I was chilling on the other side of the pool with my friends.Then the dj took a microphone and started saying stuff like most of you don't know why you're here but you'll soon know.

At this point my husband picked the microphone and started thanking all his friends and everyone for coming for his party.Then he said the party was for a special someone that has been there for him for a long time. I was on my seat shaking and asking myself what was going on.

Then he just started saying I love you and all that , he also said the usual will you spend the rest of ur life with me? He then came running to where I was seating with his friends and went on both knees and asked me to marry him.

HOW DID YOU FEEL?

I was so shy,i was crying so badly i couldn't even control my tears. We've been through a lot so I never even imagined that he would do something so sweet for me. I just wept and wept tears of joy while his friends all gathered screaming and jumping and poured champagne on us.

HIGH POINTS OF DATING HIM

 

i won't lie and tell you that every day was a fairy tale, because we've been together for a long time. However i believe it was possible to stay together all this while because he always respected
me and showed me he cared one way or the other.

LOW POINTS

lol..we argue like any other couple i guess..But he is always quick to apologise and make things right even if he when he isn't at fault.

MILESTONES YOU LOOK FORWARD TO

My wedding day, our next valentine as a married couple, having our first child, celebrating our anniversaries and basically just going through the rest of our lives together.

WOULD YOU DESCRIBE HIM AS YOUR 'MR RIGHT'?

Yes. He knows me completely,he can tell what i'm thinking, he can even change my mood just like that.That's how much he is a part of me. I love him completely.
