Contentment...be thankful

I'm sure at least once in our lives, we've gone through a phase or maybe we are presently going through a phase where we feel like nothing is going right, like life seems to be making things difficult for you. Your work sucks, being unemployed sucks, life sucks and everything is just going wrong.
I came across this story, and thought I should share.

"A few years ago, when I was really going through a major setback in my life, right in front of my eyes, I saw an indian mother chop off her child's right arm with a chopper. The helplessness in the mother's eyes, and the scream of the pain from the innocent 4yr old has haunted me till today.
You wonder why the mother had to do such a thing, if the child's hand was infected. Well, it wasn't infected. The mother did this for just two simple words - TO BEG.

The desperate mother caused her child to be handicapped, so that her child can go out in the streets to beg.
Taken aback by that scene, I dropped the small piece of bread I was eating, and almost instantly, a flock of 5 or 6 children ran towards the bread that was already covered with sand, robbing off bits from another.
After witnessing all of this, I asked my guide to take me to the nearest bakery, where I bought all the freshly baked loaves of bread(the owner was dumbfounded, but really couldn't say a word, because I was gonna pay him), then went and shared to all the children in need."
You have a complete body, have a job, have a family, have food to eat, have the chance to be clothed, have the many things that those people were deprived of, № matter how little, let us try to be content with life.
There's № harm in desiring and wanting more out of life, but in our quest and desire for more, let us endeavour to be grateful and content for the little that we have...and most importantly, THANK GOD!
