The minister for aviation Stella Oduah on thursday in a press conference stated that the federal government had just approved the construction of 11 new airports,she said this is different from the on-going remodelling of the already existing airports.
The minister said the new airports are to include 5 terminals for commercial flights and 6 for perishiable goods. she also said the FG had instructed the immediate take-off of constuction of the terminals which to be located in Lagos,Kano,Abuja,Portharcourt and Enugu.
The minister said "our dream is to also strive to transform Nigeria's aviation sector into a major contributor to the nations GDP and the airports are pivotal to the actualisation of this dream.
