THE AWFUL TRUTH: MY AFFAIR WITH PASTOR BIODUN FATOYINBO OF COZA BY ESE WALTERS

DISCLAIMER: The story you are about to read is one that i decided to post because recently we've been sharing a lot on abuse. Abuse may be physical,  it may also be psychological and even emotional in this case thats what it is with a little bit of spiritual whining. I do not write this with the intention of defaming Pastor Biodun or by any means to 'touch the lord's annointed'. I'm sharing this because this days we worship our men of God so much that its easy to forget that they are also human and capable of making mistakes. On a final note i can make no claims as to the truth of this confession having only read it myself, however i am willing to err on the part of the powerless victim when it comes to an allegation of this sort.

WHERE ARE YOU?

11:15 pm.

My alarm goes off. I am awake making several attempts to reach for my blackberry phone and scroll the track pad all the way to the snooze icon. Giving up the struggle because I can barely see where my hand is going. Its not like I have forgotten that there is some one next to me, but the realisation hits me as soon as our hands touch.
“Who the hell is calling you at this time of the night, trying to disturb my peace.”
No, I am not married, I am not even engaged. our parents are not even aware that such a relationship exists, well my girl friends are aware, they have all the free food and drinks to show for it, i am not even twenty yet. I am seventeen.
That’s my boyfriend.

MUST READ: 8 SIGNS YOU'RE DATING AN ABUSIVE MAN

Project Alert on Violence Against Women is an organization that promotes and protects the rights of women and young girls and renders practical support to female victims of violence. The Programme Assistant on Social Media Advocacy with Project alert sent these tips to Stella Dimorkorkus on how to know when you're with an abusive partner. It may be directed to women, but I think men can learn from it too.

Stella's blog has been publishing accounts of women who have experienced any form of domestic violence, which is quite commendable. One of the goals of Project Alert is to educate as many women as possible about all forms of domestic violence especially young women that are yet to get married so that they can make better choices. According to them, prevention is always the best approach. Below is an article to guide young ladies on abusive relationships.
