Over 245 persons where killed yesterday at a nite club in Brazil and over 200 left injured when fire broke out in a nite club called kiss club while a band was performing. The fire was said to have started around 2.am, the security guard Rodrigo Mourey who managed to lead some others to safety said that the club was filled to its maximum capacity with between 1000 to 2000 people in attendance.
There is no statement on the course of the fire but word is that the fire started as a result of fire crackers which was used by the band who were performing that night for lightening effects.
"Sad Sunday", tweeted Tarso Genro, the governor of the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. He said all possible action was being taken.
